Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
Gather ingredients- make sure it's pure maple syrup
In a heavy sauce pan over medium heat, bring maple syrup to a gentle boil and cook, reducing the heat if necessary, for 5 minutes
Steady gentle boil
After 5 mins remove from heat and add butter
Stir to melt
Then add cream and stir up until mixed
Take 1/2 cup from pan and put in a small bowl & whisk flour & salt into it
After you've whisked it up good pour it back into the pan and keep whisking until smooth
Keep whisking and allow to cool slightly so you can add eggs
Whisk up two eggs and pour in pan
Keep whisking until smooth
Pour in pie shell / this is a deep dish pie shell
Put in 325f oven
Cook for 45 minutes
Until center is golden brown bubbly and firm when lightly touched
Place on cooling rack - serve room temperature or chilled
